We are seeking experienced Senior Clinical Practitioners with a robust background in managing minor injuries and illnesses within urgent or primary care environments. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant MSc in advanced practice, equipping them to collaborate effectively with our medical team in addressing a comprehensive range of adult and pediatric acute and urgent health issues.

As part of our dedicated and expanding clinical team at FCMS Urgent and Emergency Care, you will contribute to delivering exceptional NHS services to the community, ensuring care is available around the clock.

As a social enterprise focused on health and wellbeing, we are committed to providing NHS care while also offering additional benefits unique to FCMS for the right candidate.

To express our gratitude for your dedication, this position includes a sign-on bonus of £2500, subject to contracted hours. This amount will be disbursed in two installments: the first after three months of service and the second after six months.

The successful candidate will be expected to operate across various settings, including but not limited to the Urgent Treatment Centre, Same Day Health Centre, home visiting services, and out-of-hours triage. Clinical Responsibilities

The Senior Clinical Practitioner will:

  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and develop evidence-based care plans for patients, ensuring ongoing evaluation and adjustment of treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Implement interventions in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  • Utilize advanced clinical skills while maintaining competencies aligned with governing bodies and the Advanced Practice Framework.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Recognize and address local demographic, cultural, and environmental factors affecting health and quality of life.
  • Employ non-medical prescribing qualifications in compliance with local formularies and clinical governance standards.
  • Continuously demonstrate the four pillars of advanced clinical practice.
  • Conduct annual audits of prescribing practices.
  • Ensure adherence to child protection and vulnerable adult legislation within clinical practice.
  • Assist in the formulation and assessment of policies and protocols for advanced and specialized clinical practice.

This role is subject to a DBS check and requires verification of identity and eligibility to work in the UK.
