Norfolk Museums Service are seeking a Finance & Administration Assistant to provide administrative and financial support to the Western Area Operations Manager ensuring administrative and financial compliance with Norfolk County Council's financial regulations and the requirements of external funders.
This is an important role supporting key functions of three Western area Museums from raising invoices for commercial hires, to banking income, managing staff budgets, ordering resources for educational visits and even supporting the procurement or sale of livestock on the farm.
No two days will be the same for the successful post-holder, they will need a keen eye for detail, strong numerical skills and an aptitude for administrative processes.
Working as part of the administrative team for the three Western Area Museums:
Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse ; a fifty-acre working farm and Victorian Workhouse Museum located in Beetley, near Dereham.
Lynn Museum; the local Museum in Kings Lynn housing the fossilised timbers of Seahenge.

Ancient House Museum ; a Tudor building in the heart of Thetford, once owned by the last Maharaja, Duleep Singh.
These are award winning local museums with significant collections of art, social history, photography, archaeology and natural history.
This is a hybrid working opportunity with some time spent working from home and some on-site at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse.
