Key Responsibilities:

Research, analysis & market intelligence

  • Evaluate industry, company, transaction, investor and startup trends across multiple sectors
  • Gather data from a variety of sources and executing analysis to test key hypotheses
  • Conduct detailed macro, financial industry and company analysis
  • Track trends across emerging industries and areas of private capital investment

Storyboarding and communication

  • Create clear, factbased storylines that draw out insights and implications from research
  • Formulate wellstructured and impactful management ready content for presentations
  • Communicate key arguments and insights effectively to senior stakeholders

Stakeholder engagement

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across Research and other parts of the firm
  • Develop proactive partnership with team, analysts and other experts on specific topics
  • Contribute to and lead on some interviews, group and senior level discussions

Essential Skills:

  • Highly motivated selfstarter with excellent communication, presentation and team skills
  • Keen interest in financial markets and strong intellectual curiosity
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to rapidly learn new financial, industry and technology concepts
  • Confident user of Excel, MSOffice suite and market databases like Bloomberg
  • Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, some experience in programming languages like Python beneficial

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Experience working in Equity Research, Investment Banking, PE, VC or Strategy Consulting on Associate level is required
  • Excellent academic background from a toptier institution, post graduate degree or MBA preferred
  • Prior experience working with senior stakeholders would be beneficial
