Job Description: As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible to provide assistance and support to senior researcher or our consultants in areas of Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction.

BIC Global are seeking a motivated and talented Research Assistant to join our team and contribute to our climate change research efforts, with a specific focus on the Global South. The role is to assist our lead consultants in formulating the training materials based on latest research in different fields of climate change. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of researchers to conduct data analysis, compile reports, and contribute to ground breaking research initiatives.

Responsibilities

· Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant research materials on climate change issues, particularly in Global South regions.

· Assist in data collection, organization, and analysis using statistical software and other analytical tools.

· Collaborate with team members to develop research methodologies and frameworks.

· Contribute to the writing and editing of reports, articles, and other publications.

· Stay informed about recent developments and emerging trends in climate change research and policy, especially in Global South contexts.

Important Skills:

Ideally, you will have the following:

· Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Geography, International Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

· Strong research skills, including experience with literature review, data analysis, and report writing.

· Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS, STATA) and qualitative analysis tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively and demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in climate change issues, particularly in Global South regions with high accuracy and attention to details.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

  • A strong sense of commitment and initiative, willingness to learn, as well as the ability to work well under pressure
