We are currently recruiting for a Business Administration Team Information Co-ordinator to work for Northamptonshire Police based in Wellingborough.


This will be hybrid however this will be full time in the office until trained and then you would be working from home 1 day a week.

This role is until February 2024.

PLEASE NOTE THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE TO UNDERGO POLICE VETTING - DUE TO THE CRITERIA ON THIS YOU MUST HAVE BEEN RESIDING CONTINUOUSLY WITHIN THE UK FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS AT THE DATE OF APPLICATION


The primary function of this post is to ensure that all content on our internet and intranet is customer focused, factual, relevant and ensure that information management guidelines are adhered to.

Producing online templates, forms and surveys is essential for this role. Using NFRS core data sets, the post holder must be able to provide accurate and timely reports.

Main accountabilities

  • To ensure the content on the service internet and intranet is customer interactive, accessible and remains current, factual and relevant for all service users and update where necessary.
  • To develop and maintain bespoke systems to ensure accuracy of data held within the Service Information Team.
  • To coordinate the consultation process of service Policies, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Equipment Manual (EM) and Standard Test and Maintenance Procedures (STaMPs) aswell as corresponding Equality Impact Assessments (EqIA).
  • To ensure that statistics and management reports are generated and distributed as required.
  • To investigate claims, payments and petty cash queries, assisting with problem solving. Including maintaining the Pay System Help mailbox.
  • Maintain close liaison with colleagues in Enabled Services to ensure that specifications relating to the design of systems are adhered to.
  • Raising invoices for incident reports and chargeable services and reconciliation of payments.
  • To produce information and statistics for managers, external agencies and statutory departments, and to assist in the interpretation and analysis of trends and forecasts to enhance the decision making process.
  • To format monthly and quarterly reports in preparation for meetings in line with A30 policy.
  • To provide a comprehensive admin support service to Business Services, including some analysis and project support.
  • To work closely with the CRG managers to streamline processes and provide administrative support to station managers.
  • To work closely with Workforce Development within Enabling to ensure all establishment changes are administrered correctly for new starters, role changes and any according enquiries within the FireWatch mailbox.
  • To handle complex requests relating to GDPR/DPA/FOI. (Since handover to Enabling of complaints and FOIs, this will move to Admin as more of a monitoring task to inform the customer interation report).
  • To share knowledge and information with colleagues, contributing to the team's
ability to deliver continuous performance improvements.

  • To create and maintain surveys and eforms for staff and customers, as well as
running reports

  • To maintain a high degree of confidentiality for all information handled, minuting
high level management meetings.

  • To provide support and cover for the other members of the team as required.

Person Specification

  • Educated to GCSE standard Level 4 (or equivalent) English Language and Maths
  • NVQ Level 3 Business Administration
  • Driving licence A current full driving licence Desirable
  • Achieved or working towards ECDL ECDL/ICDL Desirable
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness/ understanding of equal opportunities and other people's behaviour, physical, social and welfare needs
  • May be required to travel to different locations within Northamptonshire
