Role

  • Lead the Data Engineering team while also engaging in hands-on project delivery and staying abreast of the latest industry trends
  • Guide, mentor, and motivate your team, which will expand from 5 to 11 members
  • Steer the design and implementation of key projects, such as developing a customized data platform, streaming services, and Big Data solutions
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance data tools, systems, and methodologies in collaboration with Software Engineers and Data Scientists
  • Effectively prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to align on project requirements and timelines

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in building data platforms utilizing streaming technologies like Pulsar, Kafka, or Kinesis
  • Proficiency in designing and deploying highly available distributed systems for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to project management
  • Familiarity with DataOps practices and strategies for enhancing data quality
  • Proven track record of developing custom data frameworks and platforms
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and Continuous Delivery practices
  • Knowledge of continuous integration pipelines and expertise in Python programming
  • Background in utilizing AWS or Azure for managing large-scale streaming data
  • Experience with ETL management tools such as Airflow or Luigi

  • Working knowledge of technologies like Delta Lake, Iceberg, Trino, Presto, and Graphql
