Position Summary:
Assist/support the Quality Engineers by providing production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation.

Ensure that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues.

Report quality issues data, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide good technical support to all relevant parties.
  • Preparation of samples for analytical testing on incoming materials and processed materials.
  • To monitor, maintain and improve quality throughout the organization.
  • Maintain and improve Quality Management System
  • Analysis of test data to identify trends and areas for process improvement that will reduce product variability & improve scrap rates.
  • Ensure calibration process is monitored and under control.
  • Reviewing process control and capability manufacturing areas.
  • Working along side the Quality Engineers in supporting the Business requirements.
  • Implementation of corrective & preventative actions, 8D Analysis etc (either individually or as part of a team) as required throughout the plant.
  • Adhoc report writing
  • Promote a safe working environment throughout the plant
  • Basic quality systems internal auditing

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working in Quality Assurance would be advantageous
  • Clear, precise and articulate communication skills are essential.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office essential) and good clear presentation skills
  • Able to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently.
  • Ability to record, organise and manage all data generated in a structured and easily referenced format for traceability purposes.
  • Understanding of quality systems
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 / or ISO13485 advantageous
  • Knowledge of measurement systems
  • Previous quality assurance or audit experience
