**Finance Administration Apprentice - Signal Plastics**
Due to continued growth, Signal Plastics (part of the Omega Plastics Group) is recruiting an apprentice to join our team, learn all about the finance function in a manufacturing business and begin your career in finance.
You will study towards Accountancy (AAT) level 2 and will spend 1 day per week at Access Training, Team Valley, Gateshead.
Working with our Finance Administrator and supported in your learning by our Finance Manager and wider team, you will have the opportunity to work with a committed group of colleagues focussed on delivering our vision to be the leading integrated provider of plastic injection tooling and moulding solutions across multiple sectors in the UK, as well as a sustainable and large North East employer.
Working alongside our Finance Administrator you will learn the full range of finance administration tasks from dealing with purchase orders and invoices, reconciliations, filing and some general administration. We use Sage 200 as our finance and management software and will give you full training in how to use this, as well as any other IT packages you may need.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase invoices
- Raising purchase orders
- Matching invoices to supplier delivery notes
- Supplier statement reconciliations and resolving purchase invoice queries
- Sales invoicing
- Sales ledger cash posting, account reconciliations and resolving invoice queries with customers
- Pro-active debt chasing
- Numbering and filing purchase invoices
- Filing delivery and dispatch notes
- Stationery and label ordering
- Co-ordinating facilities and refreshments for meetings, including Outlook calendar management
- Greeting visitors to site
- Answering incoming calls and signposting to the correct team
- Any other reasonable duties as required, for example, other day to day filing and general administration

- An enthusiastic and helpful team member, willing to take on tasks and seek opportunities to help and support colleagues
Requirements for the role are 5 GCSEs grades 9 to 4 (A to C) or equivalent, including Maths and English (Grade 5 or above in Maths GCSE preferred). 3 A Levels grades A to C (desirable).
Rate of pay will be between £5.85 - £6.85 per hour (£11,406 - £13,355 per annum) depending on experience and qualifications
**Hours of Work**:37.5 hours, Monday - Friday 0830 - 1630
