About Our Client:

This is a temporary Accounts Payable Specialist role working for a fast paced, growing business in Marlow.

This Accounts Payable Specialist position based in Marlow, will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Maintaining supplier accounts ensuring all ledger entries are fully reconciled.
  • Create and update vendor records, ensuring we have the most current information.
  • Processing high volume of invoices from receipt of invoice, including coding invoices, obtaining the appropriate level of approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting systems both project related (Cost of Sales) and Overhead expenditure invoices.
  • Prepare batch payment runs for both vendors and employee expenses, via HSBC online banking.
  • Posting of journals across entities and cost centres.
  • Review and approval of all employee expenses and credit card claims, including verification of receipts and appropriate supporting documentation has been obtained.
  • Assist with month end and year end closing.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, including mixed currency accounts, ensuring all entries are correctly accounted for and reconciled for month end.
  • Processing of credit card statements and performing monthly credit card reconciliations

The Successful Applicant:

  • Strong basic mathematical skills
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills to fully address accounts payable issues
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast paced transactional environment and time critical situations.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Distinctly selfmotivated and able of handling multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed
years prior experience in an accounts payable department

  • Experience of procurement / purchase order processing preferable but not essential
