Role Overview

As the Interim Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the accounts payable function. You will lead a team of two assistants, overseeing all aspects of the process from purchase order management to invoice processing and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Operational Support:
    • Supervise a team of two accounts payable assistants to ensure seamless delivery of the Accounts Payable function.
    • Manage the purchase order workflow, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
    • Onboard new suppliers, establishing relationships and setting up necessary processes.
    • Resolve issues identified during the purchase order to invoice matching process, maintaining data integrity.
    • Code invoices accurately and efficiently for proper accounting categorization.
    • Conduct data integrity and cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial records.
    • Review and approve employee expense reports, adhering to company policies.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for the month-end close process.
    • Provide support to the wider finance operations team during the month-end AP-related activities.
  • Audit Support:
    • Work closely with Group auditors, providing timely and accurate information as requested.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and month-end activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration within the team and with other departments. A proactive and results-oriented approach, coupled with the ability to manage workload independently, is highly valued.
