Head of Governance

We are looking for a Head of Governance to support and advise OPDC's Senior Management Team and play a key part in delivering our vision, values, and objectives which form our Corporate Strategy.

This is an exciting, key leadership role within our organisation, that will provide appropriate advice and guidance to the Corporation, its Board, committees and internal officers,providing robust and timely advice on all areas within corporate governance, risk and performance.

We are looking for you to lead, inspire and motivate your team, promoting collaborative working with the Greater London Authority and other Local Authority and Government partners.

You will cultivate a learning culture of continuous improvement, through the provision of innovative and pragmatic advice and leading projects.

You will also have a demonstrable track record of navigating complex governance structures, delivering robust and effective advice to a wide range of stakeholders.

You will have a comprehensive understanding of how the public sector works and a nuanced awareness of the political environment in which they operate, alongside sound knowledge of all policies and legislation related to the broad remit of this role.
