A vacancy for an administrator has opened up within St Mary's House. The role will be varied as you will be working across different services based at St Mary's House.

If you have empathy, compassion and a caring nature and are interested in working as part of a busy administration team then this could be the post for you.

St Mary's House, houses a number of clinical and medical staff and services who deliver community mental health services in the East/North East area of Leeds.

The services that are based at St Mary's House (which is split in two buildings) and you will support are East Working Age Adult Community Mental Health Team, Perinatal and ENE Older Peoples Services.

Also based at St Mary's House is the Medical Psychotherapy Service, NE Working Age Adult Community Mental Health Team and Intensive Support Service.


You will be expected to provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service including: manning of reception, dealing with telephone enquiries and working on relevant IT systems.

You will also be expected to support the teams with data entry and room bookings.

You will be responsible for liaising with other key staff members within the clinical teams and ensuring that an efficient service is provided to all stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills, good communication and organisation skills with an emphasis on customer service and must be IT literate.


The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds.

We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country.

This role will be varied as you will be working across different clinical services based on site.

The main areas of responsibility are as follows:
Reception cover on main reception covering across all departments within the building.

Data inputting onto Care Director

Manage shared inboxes/enquiries

Raising requisitions on the procurement system for all departments.

Meeting and greeting service users, contractors and any other visitors and notifying relevant staff member.

Requesting taxis/transport for appointments and arranging interpreters.

Taking room bookings for the site and inputting on the room booking system.

To sort external and internal post into relevant service post tray.

Organise medical records.


Answering calls from service users, relatives, other professionals and internal staff and taking accurate message and information and passing to relevant staff.


While on reception you will be the main point of contact for any visitors to the site, dealing with general enquiries, notifying staff when visitors have arrived and dealing with contractors.

You will be expected to be IT literate on Microsoft package. You will be required to use Trust specific systems and input relevant data onto this. You will need to be proficient on Microsoft outlook.


You will have to possess excellent communication and organisational skills as you will have face to face contact with members of the public.

This will include organising transport/taxis for service users to attend their appointments.

There may be a requirement to travel between Trust sites.
