Job Purpose:

As a part of a small People Team, the People Business Partner plays a crucial role in advising and coaching Line Managers on areas like absence management, employee relations, performance management, Talent, Engagement, and organizational design.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer a comprehensive generalist HR service to the business, providing coaching support and advice on disciplinary, grievance, attendance, and consultation matters. Identify areas of risk and non-compliance of HR processes and policies to the Divisional People Lead.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Units on mobilizing and managing TUPE transfers in accordance with CBRE TUPE policy and pension legislation.
  • Work with sales and operations teams to support new business tenders, including participation in client and Trade Union presentations when necessary.
  • Support talent management by ensuring suitable sourcing of candidates for key roles and coaching line managers in talent development.
  • Oversee the provision of Divisional monthly management reporting, including analyzing Health Scorecards % reporting.
  • Audit People Data accuracy in systems regularly to ensure correctness and make corrections as needed.
  • Collaborate with the business on engagement plans.
  • Work closely with Centres of Excellence to implement CBRE GWS People strategies.
  • Handle other projects and duties as assigned by the Divisional People Lead, including supporting the People transformation strategy.

Skills:

  • Build strong relationships quickly with managers in each business unit to establish trust and confidence.
  • Operate closely using a consultative influencing style to guide line managers on policy and procedure implementation.

Experience:

  • Experience in workplace planning implementation.
  • Experience in a Global and matrixed organization.
  • CIPD Qualified or equivalent.
  • Operational HR experience at manager level.
  • Extensive experience in disciplinary and grievance matters, employment law, and its application in business.
  • Solid Generalist HR experience in a commercial setting.
  • Experience in senior-level recruitment.
  • Experience in presenting to and influencing senior managers.
  • Experience or Knowledge of TUPE.
  • DISC/SHL qualified.
  • Experience in an outsourcing organization.
  • Large organizational design projects including redundancies.
  • Experience or knowledge of dealing with Trade Unions.

Circumstances:

  • Willing to travel as needed across the UK, predominantly London.
