The role…
Arena International, part of GlobalData Plc, runs over 80international conferences and forums every year, with a thrivingprogramme that is always expanding. Our portfolio spans numerousindustry sectors and geographical regions, meaning the successfulcandidate will be open to travel internationally.
As a Sponsorship Sales Executive, you will report to theHead of Sales, and be responsible for ensuring achievement ofrevenue targets across a wide range of events thought thegeneration of new business, and repeat clients.
What you’ll bedoing…
Research
- To research and build knowledge of topics through allavailable mediums ensuring understanding of prospects, products,services and competitors.
- Gain and Expandgeneral industry knowledge across Arena’s key sectors through pressand online news services
Sales
- To accurately identify and target the key decision makerwithin a qualified company and speak professionally and withenthusiasm regarding the product.
- To buildvalue throughout the sales process
- To workwith sales management in putting together an appropriate salesproposition and presenting this accurately to decisionmakers
- To manage time effectively in workingacross multiple products at any given time
On Site
- To prepare event floor plans and exhibitormanuals
- To thoroughly prepare for eachconference/forum through highlighting client goals and objectivesin order that we consistently deliver for our clients onsite
- To attend conferences/forums and provideon-site services to sponsors and exhibitors, including networkingsupport, client entertainment etc.
- To achieveon-site re-bookings for annual conferences through deliveringon-site at conferences and building relationships
- To attend relevant external summits, events or meetingswhere appropriate to support the sales process and leadgeneration
Reporting
- Keep accurate records on relevant systems regardingclient data and background to ensure appropriate management ofclient information
- Provide management reportsdetailing pipelines, expected weekly revenue, event projectedrevenues etc. to managers – providing accurateinformation
InterdepartmentalInteraction
- Liaisingclosely with the production team to ensure that sponsor speakerslots are update on materials
- Arranging vendormarketing blasts with our in house conference marketingteam
- Working closely with the delegate salesteam, providing sponsor wish lists and targetedprospects
Key PerformanceIndicators
- Regularlyachieves monthly sales targets in accordance with packagerequirements
- Builds a quality lead basesufficient to achieve set Performance Indicators
- Maintaining daily telephone performance

- IT knowledge andability to use Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel and typingskills.
- Ability to learn and quickly gain aworking knowledge of new software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Ability to plan and organise effectively ensuring maximumuse of time throughout the day
