The Role

This role forms part of the UK Manufacturing Finance team, to cover a period of maternity leave within our existing team. You will be responsible for the delivery of the monthly Management Accounts as well as taking a hands-on approach with day to day duties of the accounts team to ensure finance provides first class service to the rest of the business. The role will be focused on maintaining robust financial controls and providing effective and timely Management Accounts reporting to the Group Finance team.

The role would suit someone who is qualified AAT, or in the early stages of CIMA, ACCA, ACA. This is an ideal role for someone looking for more responsibility in a thriving business and is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high standards

Key Responsibilities

Accurate and timely review and preparation of monthly management accounts and submission to Group Finance with supporting information including the Capex schedule. Contributing to the monthly management accounts commentary, with a clear understanding of all variances and business performance. Play a key role in the quarterly forecast review process. Review of monthly costs and management of accruals and prepayments, including Staff cost accruals. Responsibility for approving weekly payment runs and proforma payments and ensuring adequate segregation of duties. Work closely with the budget holders, ensuring accurate financial reflection of their operational plans. Oversight of intercompany recharges between UK companies. Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are accurate & reconciled monthly. Support the preparation and deliverables for audit and tax computations, including the year end stock count and review of financial transactions for specific general ledger accounts to ensure accurate cost allocation. Responsibility for ensuring all National Statistics and other government reporting deadlines are adhered to. Support the day to day management of the finance team and maintain robust controls within the management accounts process. Supporting the business and manufacturing room managers with ad hoc management information requests. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

3+ years experience in a finance role and working in a team and a hands on and enthusiastic approach. Excellent numerical skills with a good understanding of all elements of the P&L Strong Excel, IT and online banking skills, including Google Suite. Including confidence using functions such as VLookUps and Pivot Tables. Excellent attention to detail, and possess strong communication skills, have a flexible approach and the ability to work collaboratively with both financial and non-financial staff Experience with systems including Therefore, QAD, ABBYY, Xero, Zahara, Rydoo would be advantageous. Great communication skills Culturally, someone who is interested in Lush and our ethics. Quick to understand the LUSH finance infrastructure including processes and systems but not scared to innovate and look for improvements and efficiency. Qualified AAT or studying towards finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA,) is desirable but not essential (study support may be available).
