The role: Cyber Security Engineering Manager 

At British Airways, the Cyber Security team is crucial in safeguarding our airline's digital infrastructure. As a Cyber Security Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of protecting our systems, ensuring we can continue to connect people and places securely and efficiently.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage the cyber security engineering team to deliver high-quality security solutions.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage operational security incidents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures across the organisation.
  • Stay updated with the latest security technologies and trends to continuously enhance our security posture.

What you'll bring to British Airways:

  • Strong leadership and management skills to guide and motivate the cyber security team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex security challenges.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Your experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
  • Proven experience in cyber security management, preferably in a large organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge of security protocols, systems, and practices.
  • Experience with risk management and incident response.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
