We are looking for a Culture, Leadership and Succession Programme Support Manager to assist with the design and delivery of the HEIW leadership programmes and priorities.
The successful applicant will support a range of national programmes of work (with particular focus on a specific area) and have the skills to creatively support our national programme leads, building positive working relationships at all levels.
One of the core responsibilities of Health Education and improvement Wales (HEIW) is to deliver, with key partners, a cohesive leadership strategy for health and social care in Wales. Guiding this approach is the Strategy for Health and Care - 'A Healthier Wales' and the Health and Social Care Workforce Strategy outlining our ambition that 'by 2030, leaders in the health and social care system will display collective and compassionate leadership.
Main duties of the job
The Culture Leadership & Successions Programme Support Manager will be able to prepare and disseminate regular project updates and reports and can use a range of IT programs with ease. Organisational and implementation skills is a key part to this role, and the ability to work independently and using initiative to manage workload across multiple areas.
You will be passionate about embracing change, innovating, and engaging with a range of stakeholders to ensure we have a pipeline of compassionate leaders in NHS Wales for the future.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
Educated to Postgraduate Diploma level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
Evidence of continued professional development
Project and/or Project management office qualification, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
Masters level qualification
