About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme and Project Professional to join our team as Assistant Head of Project Management Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective delivery of the NHS Wales Decarbonisation programme, working closely with a small team of project managers and supporting the Decarbonisation programme lead.

Main Responsibilities

The Assistant Head will be expected to have a sound understanding of NHS Wales and the relationship NWSSP has with Health Boards and Trusts. The post holder must possess excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, which will help ensure policies, processes, and methodologies are developed and adopted across the organisation and wider boundaries in support of the NHS Wales Decarbonisation programme.

The successful candidate will lead on data analysis within the programme and projects, reviewing complex data, communicating data issues and accurately analysing and interpreting information to inform all aspects of the post. The post holder will also seek to support and embed best practice across the organisation, working closely with stakeholders from all services within NWSSP and NHS Wales.

Person Specification

  • Experienced in successfully managing the full life cycle of projects.
  • Working with managers and staff at all levels including Director / Senior level/ Executive level.
  • Delivering change management.
  • Experienced in managing staff and budgets.

Desirable

  • Proven ability to successfully manage complex projects.
  • Experience of working within a project structure, and managing complex change.
  • Experience with the three year integrated medium term planning process.
