Voyager Supply Finance Functional Process Lead

Context/Scope:

The Process & Design Tower is part of the Voyager Programme with the strategic objective of transforming Diageo’s business capabilities, using data & digital technology, to create a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Diageo is embarking on an exciting and significant Business Transformation Programme underpinned by SAP S/4 HANA. Through this programme Diageo aims to drive process and data standardization and simplification. This programme will be delivered over a multi-year period with global geographic reach.

Diageo is therefore seeking a Supply Finance Functional Process Lead who has excellent functional and leadership capabilities to optimally deliver this Business Transformation Programme in Diageo’s fast-paced environment. They will have a strong grasp of best-in-class processes and business capabilities, creating the bridge between business capability today and those required to deliver our business goals in the S4 SAP Environment.

Leadership Responsibilities

The Supply Finance Functional Process Lead is a member of the Finance LT for the Voyager Business Transformation Programme with dedicated responsibilities for ensuring the design and delivery of Voyager meets the business requirements from Supply finance workstream standpoint.

Purpose of Role

This Role will lead the design of supply finance global solution specifically in the areas of Make and toll manufacturing, distillation and maturation (D&M) and Move. The role holder will be working with the Business Integrator(s)/System Integrator(s), Global Process owner (GPO), key market partners to define the outcome. Partnering closely with the Business Lead, supply teams, the D&T Lead, GBO and GBS finance teams and BI(s)/SI(s) to complete this roadmap, delivering a successful global Business Transformation.

Top Accountabilities
Build strategy for future design of finance aspects of end to end make, toll manufacturing, D&M and move process.
Make and toll manufacturing - These activities cover all Make activities with financial impacts and Make financial reporting including internal manufacturing, subcontracting, co-manufacturing and make functions in the Toll manufacturing design.
D&M - Lead the Supply Finance integration with the Distilling and Maturation workstream. This role will have heavy interaction with other Supply Finance Managers and Leads in addition with Supply Chain D&M leads.
Move - Lead the Demand COGS and Supply Finance MOVE Activities; these activities extend past the Supply specific Profit centres into also Demand Profit centres and areas.
Supports a successful implementation of end-to-end processes by considering the needs of the business in line with the Steering Committee success factors.
Connects requirements from all hubs and sites.
Supports in analysing and communicating Change Impacts.
Is responsible for provision of content for global training material development.
Support business cutover activities and associated planning.

Leadership Skills
Build and maintain value driving relationships across the organisation, regions and markets that support business the business transformation programme.
Champion Voyager programme and the benefits it drives.
Having a thorough understanding of the business strategy, actively challenge and build business decisions.
Ability to hold tension between local preferences and global design to drive the right outcome for Diageo as a whole.

Qualifications and Experience Required
Degree or equivalent experience in relevant finance / accounting / business.
Strong experience in regional/global supply/manufacturing functions and leading projects.
Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment is desirable.
SAP HANA S4 experience advantageous.
Business Acumen: Understand the whole business operation in detail and can see connections across departments to see the big picture. Aware of competitors for existing core business. Recognizes key trends and industry characteristics.
Influencing: Establish relationships with teams across business units and markets. Proven ability to impact and influence, at a senior partner level, virtually across markets with solid networking, influencing & communication skills.
Effective Communication: Construct short story lines, adapt documents and presentations for the intended audience (complexity, detail, altitude). Presents material in a clear confident manner & manages non-verbal communication, in service to message.
