About the Job

You will develop and deliver work related training to jobseekers, on a peripatetic basis, throughout Cardiff to a recognised Quality Standard. The successful candidate will also be expected to deliver relevant and necessary training to members of the Service Area and other Council staff and partner organisations.

You will need to co-ordinate the administration required by examining bodies and the external funding providers to meet Quality Standard requirements. Provide participant feedback on progress and development and invigilate examinations.

You will be expected to monitor and evaluate Adult Learning / Into Work, work related training for job seekers, to ensure its ongoing relevance to the workplace. Attend meetings and liaise with Training team members on a regular basis.

What We Are Looking For From You

Full Valid driving licence and access to a car is essential. An adult teaching qualification is essential for this role. Experience of teaching unemployed adults and/or disadvantaged groups in the community.

Ability to deliver employment related training, including some the following:- Health & Safety in the Workplace, Health & Safety on a Construction Site, Manual Handling, COSHH, Food Safety, Employability Skills, Childcare and Health care related courses.

You need the ability to motivate trainees to achieve desired outcomes. Be able to work as a member of a busy team, but also be able to work and think independently. You will be hard working and committed to be able to work in a demanding role. Adaptable and willing to undertake a variety of different tasks.

Enthusiastic and able to rise to a challenge.

Additional Information

This post is temporary until 31/3/2025.
