The Communications Coordinator is a core member of the corporate communications team. They are responsible for contributing towards and implementing the communications strategy for Aman Group.

Reporting to the Senior Global PR Manager but working closely with the Global Head of Marketing & Communications, this role exists to provide high level administrative support to the PR team, whilst getting involved in and understanding the workings of a busy press office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in prioritising and handling a wide range of administrative support related tasks with the ability to work independently and in an articulate and efficient manner.

The role
  • High level administrative support to the global communications team.
  • Agency liaison for: four PR agencies (Italy, LATAM, India, Australia).
  • Agency relations: Provide day-to-day support to PR consultancies employed by Aman through collating and filing coverage, results, all PR agency monthly reports and PR agency contract admin.
  • Organise quarterly agency conference calls & collate minutes.
  • Assist with media reservations and approval forms (CDR).
  • Assist with the organisation of hosted group media trips including travel arrangements, flights and BTA forms etc.
  • Scan /save media articles and file all press clippings by resort, following the filing system in place.
  • Produce clip reports in conjunction with each PR agency and per property.
  • Organise and arrange payment of all agency invoices with finance team. Be the ‘owner’ of the departments invoice tracker, keeping a close eye on budget.
  • Writing press releases and pitches where required.
  • Compilation of media highlight books, including sharing statistics of ROI.
  • Management of the PR distribution list.
  • Compilation and ongoing management of award submissions.
  • Compilation and ongoing management of the property GM/USP document and Aman Audit document on a regular basis.
  • Newsroom updates: ensure photography and press materials are uploaded and current.
  • Lead on tracking all influencer and KOL activity on our Wearisma, our influencer platform.
  • Working closely with the Organic Social media team on the creation and implementation of the brand Influencer and KOL strategy.
  • Assist in the creation of newsworthy stories through destination and competitor research.
  • Researching target publications in countries where we do not have PR representation.
  • Creation of monthly PR highlights email to the business.
  • Assisting with the upkeep of press trip and communication calendars.
  • Sharing coverage generated by the corporate PR team with the relevant hotels.
  • Assisting with roadshows and events – organising collateral, guest list updates, gifting etc.
  • Assist with reviewing journalist opportunities in countries where we have no representation - follow up on media requests; stays and information.
  • Develop relationships with media contacts and assist in pitching news to journalists.
  • Assist with charity initiatives and the creation of vouchers.
  • Assist the Aman Essentials team with PR agency liaison, gifting and brand activations.
About you
  • A recent graduate degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
  • Exceptional fluent English, written and verbal.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to an advanced level.
