Job description

Our Community Hub here in Streatham is a vital source of welcome, friendship, learning and solidarity for the local migrant communities and individuals who access our services.

We are looking for a Community Hub Coordinator to lead the development and day to day running of the weekly Hub, ensuring that our service users are at the heart of every aspect of the hub. Each week we provide English lessons, group activities, a hot lunch, advice, a youth drop in and food donations.

The Hub Coordinator will recruit, train and supervise the volunteers who are vital and valued members of our team working to develop our volunteering programme to ensure a positive experience for all our volunteers.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

- Experience of planning and coordinating community activities in a paid or volunteer role, including leading group sessions and presenting information.
- Experience of working with volunteers and a good understanding of what support is needed.
- Experience of using a range of channels, including social media, for engagement.
- A good understanding of the issues affecting refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis.
