The project is a place-based violence reduction programme that adopts a public health approach. Step Up Hub has brought together well-respected community organisations which have experience of leading initiatives that reduce violence in the London Borough of Brent. Led by Step Up Hub, the consortium of six member organisations aims to address the root causes of violence affecting young people and to provide positive opportunities for them and support for families, including through tailored interventions.
