Financial Controller

ABL 1 Touch was established in 1994 and is a private equity backed vehicle repair business renown as a leader in its field. Working in partnership with insurance companies to deliver high quality repair services to their customers and with sites spread across the UK and plans for continued growth.

Who are we looking for:

We’re looking for an immediately available, dynamic and experienced Financial Controller who has experience managing a large and evolving team.

The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive in stakeholder management and possess a natural ability to resolve problems and issues in a practical and transparent manner. A strong track record in improving financial systems and processes is essential, as is experience in change management and taking the business and individuals on a growth and change journey.

You will need to be able to be in the Reigate office 3 - 4 days per week during onboarding and then this will transition to 2 - 3 days per week. The role will be on a fixed term contract for 6 months in the first instance, with the opportunity to go Permanent in the medium term.

Responsibilities of a Financial Controller will include:

Lead and oversee the production of monthly accounts and associated management information reporting, ensuring insightful and accurate information on business performanceManage all operational aspects of day to day finance including AP, AR, Cost and inventory accounting, revenue recognition, expenses and payrollManage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports; ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reportedBe responsible for the balance sheet, including financial transactions, reconciliations and VAT as well as all statutory returnsMonitor all payments and ensure that all relevant regulations are being complied withComplete month and year-end processes, preparation of budgets, forecasts, and commercial business plansTo effectively manage the team and resources to ensure deadlines in respect of payroll, expenses, AP, AR and reporting are metReview and manage internal financial controls and procedures, ensure these are continually reviewed in line with company growth and make recommendations for improvements where required
