Payroll Officer in Swansea

Swansea, United Kingdom HAYS Full time

Payroll position Practice role; training provided.

Practice Payroller
Permanent and Full Time
Carmarthen
£22-26,000 depending on experience

I am looking for a payroller, with some experience in the discipline, who is interested in working in a payroll bureau. The majority of your clients will be very small businesses or partnerships, although you will get the opportunity to try your hand at one or two larger companies with a few more payees. This role might suit someone who has never worked in a practice before but would like to expand into that area if this applies to you, then just consider this; instead of running payroll for one medium - large sized company, how would you feel about running payroll for lots of businesses? With payees ranging from 1 to 100 at all different pay cycles and frequencies. You will most likely be working with nominated senior members of each business, striving to deliver the very best customer service possible to meet their varied payroll needs. No two days will be the same You will prepare accurate payroll records and ensure timely payments using designated payroll software, comply with all HMRC legislation (including RTI / Auto enrolment), process BACS payments and ensure chargeable hours and recovery targets are met

This role will require you to be a superstar in terms of customer service; as an experienced payroll officer, that will come as second nature but you will probably find yourself liaising with a much wider and more diverse range of people than in your average industry role.

Salary will depend on level of experience; I am looking for someone with ideally 6 months exposure to payroll in a work environment, and training will be given to help you make the move to practice if you have studied payroll in college or completed a payroll course online, and have a strong administrative background, that may suffice to take on the role at an entry level.

Appreciate there are a lot of variables here so if you want to give me a call to discuss, please ring Emma Lewis on or if you just want to give it a go, apply by uploading your CV.
