The Facilities Coordinator for Leica Biosystems is responsible for Supervision and front-line support of day-to-day activities across a range of services including soft services, catering and maintenance activities.
This position is part of the PMO, Facilities & EHS Team located in Newcastle and will be on-site based. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Facilities Team and report to the Facilities & Projects Manager responsible for scheduling and administrative duties for various activities including site maintenance visits. If you thrive in a fast paced supporting role and want to work to build a world-class Facilities organizationâread on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Overseeing site waste management streams
Undertaking of key fire safety activities (weekly sprinkler & fire alarm testing)
Undertaking water hygiene activities

Ability to prioritise a varied, high volume workload
High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy
Hands on mentality with a strong ability to get into detail as necessary
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Understanding of contractor EHS requirements
Facilities/Trade experience
An understanding of budgets and cost tracking
