About the role

The R&D Associate, based on our Hull site, is a key part of our Air Care devices team.

 

You will be working hands on with the technology to become our piezo electronics subject matter expert. You’ll be collaborating with internal teams such as project management, marketing, quality, regulatory, safety and our manufacturing partners to ensure the technical side of projects are running efficiently and effectively. This is a dynamic role with a 50:50 split between lab work and stakeholder management; therefore, a scientific background is key.

Your responsibilities

- Support and deliver projects from concept and technical development to launch.

- Lead technical activities in projects as a subject specialist.

- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver on assigned activities in relation to new development projects and enhancement of existing products.

- Identify key priorities and develop comprehensive testing plans in line with them.

- Ensure all paperwork and key documentation is in place, based on the corresponding SOP.

- Collaborate to deliver projects efficiently through prioritisation and time management, while ensuring cost efficiency.

- Use analysis and risk mitigation measures to identify and combat project issues.

- Guide and mentor R&D assistants in your team.

- Update key stakeholders on progress, risks and status of your project and activities.

- Use key consumer needs to generate viable product concepts, through leveraging new or existing technologies, scientific principles or methods.

The experience we're looking for

- Degree held in a Scientific field with technical curiosity to improve and solve complex problems.

- Knowledge of project management with understanding of timeline building, prioritisation and meeting key milestone objectives.

- Understanding of the qualification requirements of R&D validation and production success criteria.

- Proven ability to interpret results from lab tests through statistical analysis of testing data.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical colleagues.
