**About the role**:

- As an R & D Category Associate at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. The purpose of this role is to co-ordinate and manage the formulation aspects of projects end to end within the Digestive Health team, focusing on a major project**R&D Formulation Associate - Fybogel/Senokot/Fybocalm**

**Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire**

**Your responsibilities**:

- Takes ownership of allocated projects within the of the category innovation pipeline, working in close partnership with R&D capability teams, ensuring the projects have:

- Supports technical seeding of the innovation pipeline through supporting ideation and concept development, proactive partnership with R&D Category, R&D capability, Outside Innovation & Science and Technology teams (e.g. Smart Release).
- Supports the formulation feasibility stage of product development cycle for all agreed projects through to factory scale up working with the R&D matrix organisation to ensure formulation product development milestones of both are delivered to agreed timelines and to suitable standards.
- Technical risks on projects are understood and working with formulation lead appropriate mitigation actions agreed and reviewed with the cross functional team.
- Due diligence on 3rd party products is completed with alignment from the cross functional teams
- Ensure compliance with regulations, quality and health and safety requirements for all formulation activities and team members
- Support creation of new ownable Intellectual Property within the category

**The experience we're looking for**:

- Experience of delivering development projects (experience within an OTC Healthcare environment an advantage)
- Knowledge of OTC formulation product development process
- The capability to define, evaluate and communicate risks and the associated mitigation plans
- Communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build strong networks across a matrix organisation
- Comfortable working independently and partnering with cross functional teams within a matrix organisation
