**R&D Associate**

The Germ Protection Surface Care is the R&D function responsible for new and existing product development for the Dettol Laundry, ASL (Antiseptic liquids) & Dilutable, Wipes, Aerosols, and Cleaners products. The teams are based in four locations: UK, US, India and China and work closely with global category marketing teams, manufacturing, procurement, regional/local marketing & commercial teams in order to deliver projects against a brand development pipeline.

The job is dynamic and complex, and the challenges you will face will give you the possibility to develop quickly, laying a strong foundation for your future career. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative technologies to deliver an exciting, new development for Dettol.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Supporting Dettol projects by carrying out laboratory-based product development work and contributing towards continuous improvement of R&D laboratory procedures and best practices.
- Support key technical projects ensuring all required formulation development, feasibility, scale up, manufacturing process validation, industrial trials and dossier preparation are performed on time and to the required standards.
- Work collaboratively as part of a larger team, communicate and influence cross functional colleagues throughout the business.
- Mentoring and supporting others in the team.

**The experience we're looking for**:

- A degree in a Scientific discipline.
- Delivery development projects within the FMCG sector
- Are independently minded with a healthy curiosity and will actively seek out additional information when you need it.
- Proven organisation skills with the ability to manage your own workload and support junior staff with workload management and prioritisation.
- Strong communication skills.
