Job Title: Community Champion

Salary: Up to 33,359 per year
Working Hours: 36 Hours per week (Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-4pm) including one-hour unpaid lunch each day

About Our Client:
Our client is a leading organisation committed to driving positive social change in local communities across Scotland and the UK. Due to their continued success, our client is looking for a highly skilled and driven communicator to join their team who is passionate about building and maintaining relationships with customers, clients, and the wider society.
This individual has a very crucial role in the bigger picture of the organisation as they will be responsible for managing and monitoring the donations that the company gifts to groups within communities to make sure it is being utilised in a way that will benefit society. As a result, the ideal candidate would be someone that is comfortable communicating with diverse audiences and able to analyse and interpret information to make appropriate suggestions and recommendations based on predicted outcomes.
Responsibilities:
As a Community Champion, you will play a pivotal role in developing and sustaining partnerships and networks to increase social impact and ensure that partners are using the funds allocated to them in ways that will benefit wider society. You will guide partners and other companies in identifying, gathering, and reporting on social value impact and outcomes. The Community Champion will also be the main point of contact for introducing partners to the internal app and systems they use to monitor the projects they fund meaning the successful candidate must be IT savvy. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the business manager when required. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners to enhance social impact initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop strategies and measures to maximise social value.
- Supporting partners and other companies in understanding and implementing social value reporting frameworks.
- Assisting in the collection and analysis of data related to social impact and outcomes to monitor how the funds that are issued are benefitting wider society.
- Contributing to the development of innovative solutions to promote social change.
- Supporting the business manager by completing various administrative tasks
Your skills and Experience
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of IT literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to work sensitively with confidential information.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in a relevant subject or relevant work experience.
- Relevant experience in corporate social responsibility, social impact, or innovation is preferable.
- Passion for driving positive social change in local communities.
- Experience working with the public sector, charities, housing, or construction (advantageous).
- Comfortable with public speaking as this may be required on occasions where the business manager is unavailable.
