Our client is a well-established global freight forwarding company with offices nationwide. We are now looking for
a Finance Coordinator within the freight forwarding operations team, your role will support the financial activities related to the company's operations within the Major Client Service Delivery team.

This role involves handling all invoicing activity for both payable and receivable transactions, dealing with disputes and ensuring high compliance within the team's financial metrics framework. The individual will work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data management and contribute to the company's financial efficiency.

Main responsibilities include

Billing and Invoicing:
Generate and process invoices for freight forwarding services.
Ensure timely billing and follow up on outstanding payments.
Coordinate with the operations team to resolve billing issues.
Financial Data Management:
Assist in maintaining accurate financial information related to freight forwarding operations.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions into the operating system.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with operations and product teams to improve efficiencies and highlight best practice.
Collaborate with the finance team to support overall financial management.
Communicate financial information and insights to relevant stakeholders.

The successful candidate needs to understand the importance of hitting financial metrics with a high attention detail. Whilst they will not be doing freight operations, having an freight forwarding operational background would definitely be beneficial.

You need to have

Good commercial acumen and be able to analyse patterns and fix issues at root cause.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Strong commercial acumen.
