FP&A Manager

**About the Role**

Hamilton Woods is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join our team and contribute to the company's financial planning and analysis efforts. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of our organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Financial Planning and Analysis:** Oversee the quarterly forecast and annual budget submission process in collaboration with Finance Business Partners and functional leaders.
  • **Reporting and Analysis:** Prepare and deliver monthly board reports and executive commentary for the UK & Ireland.
  • **Flash Reporting:** Lead the coordination of the month-end flash reporting process, working closely with Management Accounts and Commercial Finance teams.
  • **Reporting and Analysis:** Design and develop insightful, consolidated reporting tailored for an executive-level audience.
  • **Strategic Planning:** Support the preparation and submission of the company's 3-year strategic plan.
  • **Forecasting and Analysis:** Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and track productivity initiatives.
  • **International Collaboration:** Assist the European FP&A team with reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • **Strategic Support:** Provide strategic financial support to the CEO, CFO, and Commercial Finance team.
  • **Process Improvement:** Enhance planning and reporting by improving existing systems and introducing new solutions.
  • **Communication:** Coordinate weekly cross-functional updates for the CFO.
  • **Best Practices:** Collaborate with European FP&A to align reporting practices, enhancing the visibility of regional results and streamlining reporting processes.
  • **Team Management:** Manage and mentor an FP&A Analyst/Business Partner.
  • **Market Analysis:** Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform business strategy.

**Requirements:**

  • **Qualifications:** Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • **Experience:** Significant experience in Commercial Finance, Management Accounting and Financial Reporting
  • **Group Reporting:** Experience in group consolidated reporting in a corporate environment within a multi-site business
  • **Financial Planning:** Background in Financial planning and modelling desired
  • **Analytical Skills:** Experience analysing trends and using these to provide insightful commentary
  • **Time Management:** Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • **Adaptability:** Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
  • **Communication:** Good communication skills at all levels including with non-finance colleagues
  • **Proactivity:** Proactive approach and ability to work using own initiative
  • **Technical Skills:** Strong Excel skills combined with numeracy skills and attention to detail
