An rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a proficient HR Manager to join our esteemed client, a leader in the logistics and transportation sector based in Norwich.  This is a pivotal role in ensuring the management of operational staff, encompassing both Human Resources and Health & Safety responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Staff Management:
  • Lead recruitment, selection, and training processes, aiming for high staff retention.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs tailored for operational staff.
  • Engage staff through various communication methods, fostering a strong team environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive probationary reviews.
  • Conduct disciplinary investigations in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Play a key role in the senior management team, contributing to daily operational decisions.
  • Innovate and expand training services, focusing on market growth and development.
Health & Safety and Compliance:
  • Oversee and manage workplace incidents, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with employment contracts, handbooks, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Manage the distribution and maintenance of uniforms and equipment.
  • Ensure visibility of risk assessments, reviewing regularly
  • Uphold a positive company presence across social media platforms.
  • Define and implement advanced Health & Safety, First Aid, and Fire Safety processes.
As a HR Manager,  you will be able to demonstrate a solid background within people management and HR practices, strong leadership and proficiency in training implementation. You will need to come from a Transport or Logistics background and have a good understanding of industry compliance
This role will allow you to demonstrate your excellent organisational and time management skills, leadership qualities and team collaboration. As an excellent relationship builder, you will be able to initiate and commit to continuous improvement and change adaptation.
