Consultant in Medicine for Older People & Stroke Medicine

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a joint rotating six month post in the Department of Medicine for Older People and Stroke Medicine at London North West based at Northwick Park Hospital.

Our collective goal is to provide excellent care for our frail older patients and stroke patients to hospital and back home. We aim to treat acute illness appropriately, to enhance quality of life, to reduce disability, recognise when life is nearing its end, and to provide individualised person-centred care in the right setting at the right time. Post covid, our department is undergoing an exciting period of expansion and service development. Dynamic, enthusiastic and team-oriented individuals with a passion for our specialty and who are keen to take an active role in service development are invited to apply for these positions.

We are a friendly department working within the Integrated Medicine Division. New Consultants will be supported to develop their own sub-specialty interest and mentoring will be provided. Consultants will be offered the opportunity to participate in the unselected medical take as part of their on-call duties to keep up GIM skills and accreditation.

Applications are welcomed from Doctors within 6 months of their CCT, or CESR in Geriatric medicine, and existing consultants looking to relocate. The posts are full time, 10PA (7.5 DCC, 2.5 SPA).
