About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine to join our team at the Regional Hyper-Acute Rehabilitation Unit (RHRU) at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and rehabilitation to in-patients on the RHRU, taking primary responsibility for their medical care and rehabilitation.
  • Work with the multi-disciplinary teams on the ward, supporting the Unit Director and providing supervision to junior medical staff.
  • Develop further skills and gain experience in Rehabilitation Medicine, contributing to teaching and training, as well as audit and research.
  • Join the RHRU Medical team to provide specific expertise in the management of acute and complex medical conditions following brain injury, liaising with other specialities within the hospital and across London as necessary.
Requirements
  • GMC Registration
  • CCT in Rehabilitation Medicine (or entry expected within six months of interview date)
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Training in specialist neurorehabilitation and management of patients with complex neurological disabilities
