Job Description

The Head of Talent Management EMEA is responsible for the talent management strategy, program delivery and provision of effective business partnering to maximize the potential of employees in the region and the achievement of business goals.

This vacancy will suit someone who has a proven background in EMEA leadership and working knowledge, has the ability to negotiate, advise and build strong rapport with all  senior stakeholders and partners within Cielo. 

Essential skills required: 

Business Partnering

  • Developing strategic partnerships and engaging with leaders to understand business priorities and needs
  • Identify new opportunities where talent management can add value and maintain leading-edge knowledge of talent strategy issues
  • Monitor business decisions and their potential impacts on people; advise senior leadership on strategy and approach for successful execution and implementation

Performance and Retention

  • Identify and effectively drive performance management actions to continue building a high-performance culture
  • Lead the talent review program for the region to assess talent pipeline; work with leaders to understand future talent needs, strategy and plans to develop the talent
  • Support leaders to identify retention risks and create retention strategies

Employee Experience

  • Lead an ongoing review of employee experience and engagement activity, and identify opportunities to enhance
  • Proactively use survey and feedback mechanisms to drive improvements
  • Actively support and drive internal communications programs and activity

Employee Development

  • Support Cieloâs learning culture by identifying development needs for employees in collaboration with the Talent Development team. Participate in and support learning and development activity
  • Provide ongoing coaching to leadership and managers to help them grow and develop talent, manage performance and build high-performing teams
  • Act as a mentor to colleagues to support their development

Talent Management

  • Advise and resolve complex employee relations issues and interventions to lead to the most effective low risk solution
  • Actively support the principle of a positive, ethical and effective work environment. Address any gaps or potential risks proactively
  • Consider trends or commonalities across employee relations issues to identify broader organizational interventions including but not limited to: training, role redesign, org design

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

  • Act as a regional ambassador for DEIB in support of our DEIB journey globally. Identify opportunities to drive discussion and activity in the region to achieve our DEI vision and commitments
  • Review policies, practices and application of talent management programs to ensure inclusivity
  • Provide inputs to DEIB programs and direction

Change Management

  • Apply change management and organizational development strategies
  • Influence and manage organizational change initiatives in support of business strategies
  • Lead and manage change programs, ensuring goals are met with minimal negative impact

Reward and Recognition

  • Monitor application of rewards and recognition programs and processes internally and benchmark against external norms and trends, providing inputs on external trending
  • Provide counsel and guidance to leaders on compensation and benefits matters to ensure fairness, engagement and experience

Leadership

  • Lead the local talent management team. Provide strategic leadership to direct reports and less experience P&C colleagues. Support development of team and indirect reports
  • Guide and provide coaching to the team to position them as effective and trusted business partners
  • Participate as an active member of the Talent Management Leadership team and business leadership teams as assigned

Employee Lifecycle

  • Ensure effective onboarding practices and events are in place and delivered timely
  • Collaborate with Payroll to support effective payroll processing
  • Oversee administrative processes to ensure timely production of documentation and accuracy of data
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Strong demonstrable experience in general HR and proficiency in business partnering
  • Proven ability to actively be hands on managing HR teams within EMEA region, in country regulatory knowledge is essential (APAC an advantage)  
  • Ability to demonstrate hands on experience in change management, driving employee engagement and managing employee relations cases
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders at senior level
  • Excellent English, Written and spoken
