Our client helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives regardless of how or when they lost their sight.
They are currently seeking a Volunteer Co-ordinator to join them on a full-time basis for a 12 months fixed term contract .

You will take responsibility for the training, selection and management of volunteers, organising an attractive recruitment programme.
Managing volunteer support requests, you will enhance the volunteering service for members across the charity. You will oversee the development of volunteers by devising and delivering effective induction training, including sighted guiding training and wheelchair training.
Co-ordinate volunteer involvement across the community
- Complete DBS checks for volunteers within the community
- Comply with safeguarding and risk management procedures
Experience of recruiting, training and supporting volunteers
- Experience of building external networks and relationships
- Excellent level of computer literacy; knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Please note, additional travel across the region and nationally may also be required occasionally.
