Sponsorship Sales Manager – Technology/Women in Tech

Location: London/Hybrid (1x days per week in the office)

Salary: £45,000 + commission £30k

Our client, a portfolio of highly specialised global businesses focused on critical insights, is on the lookout for an experienced Sponsorship Sales Manager to join their successful Telecoms & Technology division, selling Sponsorship packages to new and existing clients.

We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in new business outreach, complemented by solid account management skills, given that the primary responsibility for acquiring new business will rest with the salesperson. While experience in launching events in previously untapped regions is not essential, it would be advantageous. The ability to multitask effectively and manage sales across multiple events simultaneously is essential for this role. Moreover, a genuine passion for diversity and inclusion initiatives is highly valued. Strong proficiency in consultative selling techniques is also desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • and develop new commercial opportunities with the sales team to meet event sales targets.
  • existing global customer relationships, utilizing a consultative sales approach to sustain and increase annual spend.
  • leads through competitor analysis, industry research, and proactive outbound prospecting via phone and email.
  • a personal sales pipeline to exceed targets for both repeat and new business.
  • precise maintenance of sales administration and CRM systems for accurate forecasting (Salesforce).
  • a comprehensive understanding of products, industry landscape, and competitors to identify sales targets and align with customers' business priorities.
  • up on inbound leads to drive new business growth and expand audience reach.

Key Interfaces:

  • to Head of Sales, maintaining a close relationship to develop new and existing opportunities to meet revenue targets
  • with production team per event to build a sales pipeline and manage key customers
  • effective and profitable relationships with decision makers at key customer accounts
  • with operations, marketing, and production teams to ensure fulfilment of all sponsor deliverables

Experience Required:

  • track record of hitting revenue targets, developing new business, and managing key customer accounts
  • in selling event and conference solutions globally, managing customers in different time zones, and being sensitive to cultural differences
  • working to deadlines, prioritizing sales activities across multiple projects, and cross-selling products
  • to negotiate and develop working relationships with senior decision makers
  • ability to learn and understand a new market sector
  • in managing a personal pipeline using CRM systems and reporting revenue to Head of Sales
