What you’ll be doing:

Leading and managing a small teamof capable Designers for all relatedtasks Working closely with other engineering disciplines andfunctions, supplier and customer areas, fostering a team-workingand collaborative product developmentenvironment. Producing and issuing Airframe engineering design datato meet project requirements in line with design standards andprocedures, whilst maintaining quality, cost and scheduleadherence Verifying design data after completion and prior to aformal independent check to ensure compliance with projectstandards Identifying product technical risks and associatedmitigation plansEvaluating and resolving design problems and supportingthe generation of resulting modifications andchanges

Your skills andexperiences:

Essential:

  • Experiencein an Airframe Design role, or similar product designexperiences HNC/HND/Degree orequivalent qualification or experience in Science, Technology,Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) Proficiency with a CADsystem, along with experience in a configuration control toolset(PLM) system Experience in leadingand guiding other Designstaff Experience of managingDesign tasks to meet engineering design requirements and programmerequirements Experience in verifyingand checking other engineer’sdesigns

Desirable:

  • Experienceof working in a multidisciplinary integrated product developmentenvironment, influencing adjacentdisciplines Experience of workingwith internal/external customers, suppliers andpartners
