This high performing legal services team has a clear vision to improve outcomes for all children and families within the community. Advocacy will be carried out in the Family Court in respect of the following types of hearings;
Contested Interim Care Order
Applications for a Placement Order or Applications under Section 25 Children Act 1989
You will be an integral part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council's services, you will be a positive and highly motivated person who is confident, versatile and innovative.
The ideal candidate will be a confident advocate with previous experience of working in a local authority. Although candidates with experience of working in a local authority are highly desirable due to the nature of the role, we are very interested in hearing from Childcare Lawyers from private practice, or Barristers, who have handled substantial public childcare matters in court. Local Government Pensions Scheme - considered to be one of the best employer contribution rates
