Job Opportunity

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Greater Manchester to recruit a locum Team Lawyer to oversee their People function.

The ideal candidate will have specialist experience in Adult Social Care Law and be able to oversee a team covering areas of law including Children's Social Care, Adult Social Care, Health and Housing.

The role involves carrying a caseload of complex matters, advising on and preparing proceedings, and acting as an advocate for the Council and Court.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team and manage a caseload of complex matters
  • Advise on and prepare proceedings, and act as an advocate for the Council and Court
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff across the division

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
  • Local Government Experience

Benefits:

  • Remote working

Working Hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday

Please note that recent experience is required for this role.
