An opportunity has arisen for a Technical/Advocate lead to join our Costs Litigation department.

The duties will involve working with colleagues and reporting to our Practice Development Lead on a combination of the following:

- Advising on complex legal technical issues and cost disputes to clients, colleagues, and senior management.
The preparation and presentation of a comprehensive training schedule for both the Costs Litigation department, the Specialist Serious Personal Injury teams and the wider practice group.
- Manage and support the development of team members, promoting continuous learning and improvement of skills.
- Assisting the Practice Development Lead on preparing and implementing the Cost Litigation strategy
- Attending Detailed Assessment Hearings, Oral Hearings, CCMC’s and Cost Applications.

**About You**:

- High degree of technical expertise in costs litigation
- A proven track record in an advocacy role
- Ability to develop strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Hands-on, with a “can-do” attitude, demonstrating drive, discipline, patience, and flexibility
- High degree of accuracy, excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail, but capable of identifying and resolving wider issues
- Well organised with an ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands effectively
- Clear and influential communicator, able to address different types of audiences in appropriate ways, both written and verbal
- Genuine enthusiasm for providing a high standard of client service and an ability to promote a positive attitude
