providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.
We are looking for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer with a Mechanical Bias to join the team on our Essex School contract maintaining 4 schools located in Basildon, Chelmsford and Canvey Island.
The purpose of the role will be to carry out Mechanical Services (Plumbing/ Pool Plant Maintenance / HVAC and BMS), Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Works
Enhanced DBS clearance is a requirement for the role
Deliver first class engineering to a wide range of mechanical plant. Including and not limited to, Plate Heat Exchangers, Pressurization Systems, Control systems, motors, pumps, generators, CHP, FCU's, AHU's, drainage, toilets, plumbing and heating systems.
* Ensure all statutory & mandatory compliance maintenance and records/certificates are always kept up to date and in line with the contractual requirements and filed as Skanska Management System.
* Have the desire to deliver first class engineering and client satisfaction.
* Establish key relationships with clients' representatives, end users and all members of the Skanska Facilities team.
* Be willing to work as part of an On Call rota along with a flexible work approach.
Good ability for fault-finding and plant adjustments to ensure unnecessary waste of utilities.
* Good Knowledge of Building Services and Water Regulations
* Minimum of Mechanical City & Guilds/NVQ/BTEC level 3, or equivalent. Desirable Skills include Electrical training / BMS / Pool plant experience
* Legionella prevention & water treatment, Water Regs, Unvented Systems IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Modern CoSHH.
* Experience in Building Maintenance
