Job Title: Mobile Facilities Engineer at Skanska Building Services
Skanska Building Services oversees the management of facilities in educational institutions throughout the UK, specializing in mechanical and electrical engineering, maintenance services, cleaning, catering, and grounds upkeep, all while emphasizing efficiency through innovative technology.
We are looking for a Mobile Facilities Engineer to become a part of our team, responsible for maintaining multiple educational sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive maintenance tasks to uphold engineering standards
- Carry out a variety of tasks including repairs, carpentry, painting, re-lamping, as well as minor electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Assess mechanical services, equipment, and systems
- Perform troubleshooting and necessary adjustments
- Address reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner
Requirements:
- City & Guilds / NVQ / BTEC qualification in a relevant discipline
- Experience in building maintenance
- Proficient in multiple skill areas
- Knowledge of compliance standards
- Proactive approach to tasks
- Strong communication abilities
- Experience in client-facing roles
- Positive demeanor and self-motivated
