We are seeking a Mobile Multi-Skilled Fabric Engineer to support our operations, focusing on the maintenance of various educational facilities.
The primary responsibility of this position involves executing predominantly fabric-related tasks, as well as undertaking minor mechanical and electrical services, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive works, all while adhering to strict performance indicators.
An Enhanced DBS clearance is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive tasks in compliance with established engineering standards.
- Perform general duties requiring a multi-skilled approach, including repairs to structures, carpentry, painting, re-lamping, and minor electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Inspect and assess mechanical services, equipment, and systems.
- Execute fault diagnosis and adjustments on equipment.
- Address reactive maintenance requests as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC in a related field.
- Experience in building maintenance.
- Proficiency in multiple skill areas.
- Strong understanding of compliance standards.
- A proactive and forward-thinking mindset.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently are crucial for success in this position, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering services and client satisfaction.
