Skanska Building Services oversees the management of facilities in educational institutions throughout the UK, providing services in mechanical and electrical engineering, janitorial services, food services, and grounds upkeep, all while emphasizing efficiency through technological advancements.
We are looking for a Mobile Facilities Engineer to become part of our team dedicated to maintaining multiple educational facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and address reactive tasks to uphold engineering standards
- Manage a variety of tasks including repairs, carpentry, painting, re-lamping, as well as minor electrical and mechanical upkeep
- Evaluate mechanical services, equipment, and systems
- Perform troubleshooting and necessary adjustments
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests
Requirements:
- City & Guilds / NVQ / BTEC qualification in a relevant discipline
- Experience in building maintenance
- Ability to perform multiple skilled tasks
- Knowledge of compliance standards
- Proactive approach to work
- Strong communication abilities
- Experience in client-facing roles
- Positive demeanor and self-motivated
