Skanska Building Services specializes in managing facilities for educational institutions throughout the UK, providing services such as mechanical and electrical engineering, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance, all with an emphasis on technological efficiency.
We are looking for a Mobile Facilities Engineer to join our team, responsible for maintaining multiple educational facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and address reactive issues in accordance with established engineering standards.
- Perform a variety of tasks including repairs, carpentry, painting, re-lamping, and minor electrical and mechanical upkeep.
- Assess mechanical services, equipment, and systems.
- Carry out troubleshooting and necessary adjustments.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds / NVQ / BTEC in a related discipline.
- Experience in building maintenance.
- Ability to perform multiple skilled tasks.
- Knowledge of compliance standards.
- Proactive approach to work.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in client-facing roles.
