Role of the Partnerships Account Manager

The role of the Partnership Account Manager is to help manage and develop client and partner relationships on given accounts.

Key responsibilities

Be partnerships specialist across all of our clients, with a focus on sourcing and implementation.

Partnerships:

  • Approach a selection of partners on behalf of our clients and follow best practice.
  • Create, maintain and grow a selection of long-term partner relationships with partners.
  • Secure a selection of partnerships that deliver on-brief, exclusive or best in class partnerships.
  • Help and where necessary negotiate terms and contracts for your partnerships.
  • Help define and share ownership on partnership selection criteria and approaches.
  • Develop and implement of your partnerships
  • Contribute to creating propositions and ideas as part of our partnership strategies and approaches.
  • Working closely with our MD & Head of Strategy, Head of Partnerships and Partnerships Account Director to support with customer and partnerships strategies, based using our Partnerships EngineTM.
  • At times helping to contributing to workshops and ideation sessions with clients / partners or both.
  • Understand client business objectives and use this knowledge to drive outstanding and unique partner opportunities.

Client service:

  • Adhere to processes, documentation requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain market intelligence and regularly keep abreast of trends and developments, especially on sectors relevant to your accounts.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of each client’s business and sector market share, competitor activity, stakeholders, brand ambitions and challenges.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the agency’s credentials, service lines and case studies to be able to sell effectively.

New Business and Business development:

  • Create and maintain partnership case studies.
  • Contributing to pitch processes.

Company & Culture:

  • Actively contribute to our culture of building a great company.
  • Develop knowledge of wider partnerships, marketing trends and industry best practice.
  • Research and be a go-to person on partnership industry trends
  • Attend training, team and department meetings and follow up on any action points.
  • Be a proactive team player maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
  • Remain professional at all times when interacting with both clients and colleagues.
  • Lead by example and remain professional at all times – understand client pressures and ensure that you are supportive to both your partners, your team and your colleagues.
