Join our client's Faculty's senior leadership team as the Deputy Faculty Manager, focusing on research and infrastructure projects within the Science Transformation Programme. This programme aims to enhance research, increase income, and elevate the Faculty's international reputation through infrastructure investment, strategic staffing, and new collaboration methods.

In collaboration with the Faculty Leadership team, the Deputy Faculty Manager will support and drive the Faculty's strategic aims and objectives, particularly within the Science Transformation Programme. This role involves primarily focusing on research and infrastructure projects, alongside other tasks suited to the postholder’s skills. The Deputy Faculty Manager will work with colleagues across the Faculty and University on various initiatives and support regular business processes within the Faculty Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategic goals and the Science Transformation Programme.
  • Manage projects and initiatives within the Faculty.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University.
  • Maintain regular business processes within the Faculty Office.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications/Experience

  1. Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
  2. Specialist knowledge and expertise to influence service delivery, events, and activities.
  3. Experience providing specialist advice and guidance to a range of customers and senior colleagues.
  4. Experience participating in networks to share good practice, develop relationships, and positively influence the University’s reputation.
  5. Experience implementing policies and supporting service improvements.
  6. Line management and development experience.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

  1. Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including relationship-building.
  2. Strong digital competence with communication tools, Microsoft 365, and business systems.
  3. Commitment to continuing professional development.
  4. Extensive knowledge and experience ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
  5. Ability to contribute to operational and strategic planning.
  6. Problem-solving and planning appropriate solutions.
