Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a robust technical strategy, including budgetary controls for the Technical, Quality, and H&S departments.
Audit and Compliance: Lead and manage all internal and external site visits and audits, ensuring continuous compliance with BRC accreditation and Global Food Safety Standards across manufacturing, packing, and warehousing.
Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Technical, Quality, and H&S teams, including performance management, appraisals, training, and succession planning.
Champion a culture of 'audit readiness' and continuous improvement in product and process quality. Lead the implementation of a Total Quality Management approach across the organization.
HACCP & Compliance: Maintain ownership of the HACCP and Quality Management system and ensure compliance with the latest TACCP & VACCP requirements. Manage new recipe generation, including nutritional analysis, packaging, labelling, and product claims.
Supplier and Customer Relations: Act as the technical liaison with customers and suppliers, addressing technical queries, managing supplier performance, and mitigating product or supplier risks through technical improvement plans.
